Sensation weather made for a perfect backdrop yesterday down by the sea. Blue skies, clean clear water, and 3 little people.
I had shot Zade as a newborn, and Evie at 3 months. Their mums are best mates, so these 2 would grow up very close and they are also 2 weeks apart in age.
Zade has a big brother - Koby..... I have done Koby twice before but only iin the studio. Stace and I spoke and thought he would do well outdoors, so he could run around and we could get some natural shots.
Well well well - he certainly didnt stop. But we were right in our thinking process, the outdoor shoot certainly suited him better, he was able to run around, eat sand, throw sand, try and launch jellyfish bombs at his mum and I, shampoo his hair with sand, run away into the construction site, streak and much much more.
I think poor Stace and Ben were exhausted afterward, but I'm pleased with the images we got, as compared to the studio ones with Kobz.
And Evie - my you have changed. Your gummy smile is divine.

5 Belles and 1 Bruiser.
After having to postpone several location shoots this week, I woke this morning to find grey skies again! Great another postponement was going to push me even further behind at this crazy time of year. Melbourne - 4 seasons in a day! The rain held off, the session was scheduled for 5.30 and by 4.50 the sun had come out and it was perfect location weather! See 4 seasons!
So I was to meet up with Amy and her family and her brother in-laws family. All 10 of them for a big session.
2 Car Loads clambered out, I did a head count, and then I doubled back! 6 kids in total. 5 girls and 1 boy! Oh poor kid was surrounded by females! And yes I have sympathy for him, 3 out of 4 of mine are girls, so I feel his pain.
I told everyone I wouldn't remember names, so we started the session with lots of pointing. But somehow Trent the only boy got the name "Bruiser" and it stuck for the whole session.
Sun was warm and gorgeous, mozzies were out as usual, and we had a visit from a bullant too!
The session was a blast - Darren couldn't direct bubbles to save himself, Ally was the class clown, we started the session with tears because its not cool to put your arm around your sister, and we ended the session with the funniest goofiest shots that will end up as a Christmas Pressie for Nan and Pop!!!!
Enjoy your preview ...

Tiffanys Gorgeous Baptism
My first day back on the job today was to be a Baptism from a lady whom had contacted me via email. We had never spoken directly just through emails. I arrived at the church a half hour early and took a walk around the stunning grounds. The church was St Marys in St Kilda and the building had been maintained to pristine quality, bluestone walls, carpet like grass, stunnings gardens. The doors blew me away the most, they were perfect for photos......
So finally the time came to meet the mystery women whom had contacted me via email..... Faye and her husband Chris walked up the path and greeted me with a handshake and then a kiss (always a good way to suck up to the photographer, lol) Followed by the most DIVINE bub I have seen since Alarah and Indie... Tiffany had the biggest glowing eyes I had seen, and one of those beautiful gummy smiles!
So we took some shots of her getting into her baptism dress, which I must add she hated so the shots were full of tears :-(
Then outside to do some godparent and family photos in the beautiful gardens where Tiffany was much happier - Mum did mention that she hadnt slept, so poor bubba was in for a long tiring day!!!!!!!!
The Ceremony was done and dusted within 20 minutes, and then we moved on to the Recpetion at Milanos on Beach Rd - Another Stunning Venue!!!!!!
There was alot of love in the room, the kids had a great time with the baloons, and doing different fake poses for me..... Follwed by a very very short speech from Dad who couldnt contain his emotion when speaking of the love of his daughter, so Mum took over, thanked everyone and cut the Cake!
It was such a lovely way to start 2011 - a lovely family and extended family, beautiful locations, and just a really feelgood day.
Enjoy the Pics - Jacqui xx

2010 Memorable Images
So 2010 has come and gone, the year has certainly been a crazy one for me! In Feb I added baby number 4 to our family, and come June my Facebook Page had gone nuts with bookings. At times I thought I was losing my mind, I'm sure my house was falling down around me, it had never seen so much dust and dirt, and as for the laundry, well that's a whole other story!!!! I continued my studying and learning via online tutoring and mentoring sessions, and finally made the last of my payments on my studio lighting!!!!!
I met many many wonderful clients and their families, big and small. My smallest was little Kylen who was only 24hrs old when I did his portraits, and I also had the pleasure of doing a 4 generation session - Great Gran, Grammy, Mum and Daughter....
As for personal achievements I was honoured to be asked to become a photographer for "Heartfelt" an Australian Organisation which is dedicated to giving the gift of photographic memories to those who are experiencing stillborn, premature or NICU births. A very hard but extremely rewarding job.
I'm hoping 2011 is going to be even bigger and better than 2010, there are alot of things in plan, starting with my workshops that will take off early this year, and some online mentoring also.
But below you will find some of my memorable images from 2010. These are not neccesarily favoured over any others, as I had favourite images from every session I did. But just a small glimpse into just how beautiful my job truely is.... enjoy - Jacqui xxoo
