I met the absolutely gorgeous children of Karin today - Jayda and Brock, who were both weeks apart from my Kealy and My Sophie.....
They had come for a mini portrait session, and then a very messy "Paint Yourself Silly" session.
I thought they were going to be tough cookies to crack, but to my surprise they were right at home in front of the camera, smiles and cheekiness to boot!
After a quick 10 minute clothed session, we stripped them down, and let them at it. It was quite funny at first when I gave Jayda the paint and brush - she kept looking at Mum wondering if she was allowed to go nuts on herself, she really did think she was going to get in trouble..... That was until I took a brush and dobbed a nice big red splodge on her belly and Mum didnt say BOO..... After that she was in "Mess Heaven"...
I find that when I do these shoots the children respond much better photogenically as they're really really enjoying themselves, as its not something most kids are allowed to do (paint on your own body)....
Okay so then it was Brocks turn......... Hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm nope, no painting, just eating it!!!!!!! Hehehehe was a little funny, but we actually had to stop him before he was putting chunks in his mouth... Mum gave him a quick paint and we hid the brush from him.....
I really enjoyed this mornings session, and Karin I hope you enjoy your sneak peak - Jacqui xo

The Ever So Gorgeous Livinia.....
Another delightful client today - Kat and her divine Livinia....
Kat walked through the door rather stressed as Livinia hadnt slept alot that day, and she was worried she'd be awful throughout the shoot!!!! Hah - jinxed herself! Livinia was perfection, gave me everything she had, smiles, laughter, eye contact, poses on cue! She was a dream to work with.
She had the biggest beautiful eyes, and the cutest wardrobe to match!
I asked Mum if she could sit up?? Oh Yeah, was the reply. Great I thought - more options for pictures.
Not only could the clever little cookie sit up, she could crawl, and pull herself up onto all fours, and almost stand on her own. Poor Kat is going to have her hands full in a couple of months I reckon!
Ahhhhhh why do babies grow so quickly - in 2 sleeps my baby will turn 1. I cant even remember the past 12mths its been a big blur really!
Lucky I get to work with babies and children every week, or I'd be pregnant forever!!!!!
Hope you love your pics Kat xoxox

Amalea a star in the making.
I had the pleasure of meeting little Amalea and her Mum Joanne and Dad Daniel. Amalea was the 3rd shoot from a local mothers group in the past 3 weeks.... She is 6 months old, and already crawling - AMAZING.... So needless to say, we had to keep putting her back on the spot as she would race off straight away. She had a fascinating habit of licking her top lip, so every second shot is off Lil Miss with her tongue over her top lip, which was quite cute!
Its lovely when you get the pleasure to work with a family who is very relaxed and open to everything I suggest.
Enjoy your pics guys xx
